Lindsey's endowment

Lindsey after she was endowed! She was all smiles!
February 11, 2011

Dad and daughter! He was so emotional along with the rest of us, but he said many times that it was so good to have all four of his children with each of their spouses in the temple at the same time! I guess to a father that was a great accomplishment! Dad thanks for raising us right! We love you!

 Her and Thad

Thad's family: Rod, Thad, Lindsey, Grandma Faverro and Midge (MIL)

 Lindsey and my mom.

It is always so good to be able to attend someone's sealing because for Nick and I it brings back the best memories of the day we were sealed! I love you Nick.

Dinner at the Gunbarrel

Nick's dad took us out for dinner a week ago Thursday to this amazing restaurant! Nick looks dazed as always.
Above is Nicks oldest brother Josh and his wife Mickell. Had such a great time visiting with everyone. Sad I didn't get picks of Bryson and his wife Kristen, Doug & Cindy as well as Stef :( Thanks for such a great date night!

The Wedding Day

Lindsey in the bridal room at the temple applying her lip gloss prior to her grand exit! She looked soooo beautiful! The sealing was amazing. Her sealer in the temple was a family friend of her husband and he said some powerful things. He talked to Lindsey and Thad about attending the temple often. He said is attending the temple every 11 years often enough? And of course they are shaking there head no, he then replied saying, "when you are living in South Africa and there isn't a temple near by (closest at the time was in Britain somewhere he said) every 11 years was often for us." We all somewhat chuckled as we processed his humor. Many other special things were discussed.
Isn't she beautiful?! I was up at 4 AM with this chica curling her long hair. I told her she had like 3 mops on her head at least!
Above is my oldest brother Morgan and his youngest girl Clara.
This is my twin brother and his 3 month old Mcklain.
Above are a few of Lindsey's friends outside the temple. Left to right: Shannon, Brittney, Chelsea and Kassie.
 Here they are!
 Sooo Happy for them!
This made me tear up.. My niece Abigail (Morgan's daughter) just loves Aunt Lindsey and had been talking all morning about getting to see Aunt Lindsey in her princess dress. Well here is the picture that captured her response as she saw Aunt Lindsey step out of the temple. It was priceless.
 Of course her fun shoes!
 Her good friend Chelsea!
 Hugging Kassie!
Hugging her brand new sister-in-law Bailey that was married two weeks prior.
 My Grandpa Brown (mom's dad)
My aunt Karrie and Uncle Craig with Grandma Brown.
My close cousin Ashley and her family Kyle, Bridger and Bennett.
 My handsome cousin Max.
And this was my mother-in-law bringing both boys to the temple for us. She was heaven sent. With her husband just having chemo etc she watched them both mornings while we attended the temple for her endowment and then the sealing.
Daddy and Nixon. Man they look sharp!
This was another one of those priceless moments. Bentley saw his cousin Abigail and ran for her and they embraced for a hug and then went off playing!
 Bentley with his daddy.
Nixon would not hold still for anything so I am surprised that I was able to get this photo.
Only family pic that I got with my camera at the temple. :( But her photographer took some great ones so we will be getting those.
My two favorite boys on the St. George Temple steps.

Wedding Preparations

Lindsey was going out with her girl friends one last time before they were married and so I decided to write on her car! She loved it.

Love ya Sis!

Feeding the Ducks

My mom has this pond not to far from her house that is filled with all sorts of ducks, geese, swans etc. The kids love to go to to feed the ducks. Above is my mom with Bentley and Nixon.

The ducks are so friendly because they are fed all day long by little kids like Bentley. They will come eat the bread right of your shoes if you put it there.
Nixon squinting in the sun. He just followed big brother around doing the same things. He was so excited the whole time he kept saying "DUCK, "DUCK"!

They loved that Grandma and Aunt Lindsey could join us! Bentley was sick with a respiratory infection while we were up there (Pneumonia) and was on several different meds including a steroid and and antibiotic along with breathing treatments etc. Poor thing was so lethargic and sick so we bribed him with feeding the ducks to get him to take his meds ;)

Party Time Again!

First off I have to let everyone know that this entire blog post and pictures came from Summer Haws blog! I saw this and asked her if I could just copy and paste it onto my blog for journaling purposes and she said sure. If you are wondering why this is not first person its because this is Summer writing the following! Thanks Summer for letting me still your post! What can I say...we are PARTY girls! This past weekend my good friend Abby and I put on a baby shower for another great friend of ours Hillary. Even though this was her 4th baby we wanted to put on a shower for her. It took some convincing but finally she accepted. Let me just say that Hillary is the one who threw me a baby shower after having my second girl and said, "Every baby deserves new outfits and gifts." And having a beautiful baby is a great reason to celebrate! Here are a few of our decorations.
Our theme was red and aqua colors. A few things at our food table.
Our food table. Our menu consisted of Pasta chicken salad on croissants, veggies and fruit with dip, water bottles decorated with cute scrapbook paper, and coconut cupcakes.

The invitation.
And the guest of honor, Hillary.
And the other guest of honor, Adelyn Jeanne Divis. She was born January 28, 2011, 8 lbs and 20 inches long. Hillary didn't know if she was having a girl or boy until the delivery so we had to wait until after she was born to have the shower.
And she was the highlight of the party. Here is Lacy and Adelyn. I don't think she was put down once during the party.
Making the final preparations for the party.
We had a candy bar with candy that matched the color theme.

Side table decorations.
We played a candy bar game (thinking this was a great idea since we have a candy theme) so we came across a game from a blog. Well we copied the design from one and had to find the answers from another blog since the first blog didn't have the answers. Well Abby and I were obviously busy with the other preparations and we didn't catch that some of the questions were not on the blog with the answers. So the game didn't go as smooth as we were hoping, but it ended up being ok. Even though the game didn't turn out as great as we were hoping the prizes were! Caramel apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory!
We had a surprise for Hillary. Abby contacted one of Hillary's best friends and her sister who both live in Utah and they made that long trip to be here for the shower. She didn't know they were coming until they showed up at the shower. Hillary almost cried when she saw them. It was a great moment!
The party throwers with the guest of honor: Hillary, Abby, and I.
The party girls: Abby and I. It doesn't need to be your first baby for us to throw you a shower :)We had a blast throwing it! The party was a huge success! Beautiful decorations, great food, good turn out, and Hillary got a lot of great gifts.

The women on the couch is Hillary's sisters from left to right: Chelsea (who flew in from Kansas -another surprise, Tara, Darcy (Hillary's mom), and Kaleigh. Top row left to right: Kate, Wendy, Summer, Hillary, and Abby
