Let's just say I'm glad that today is almost over!!

Well today was seriously one of the most hectic days that I have had in a long time! It started out with Bentley waking up with a runny nose at 7:30 am. I got him dressed and fed him breakfast...mind you Nick is sleeping or should I say trying to sleep since he is working until 4 am right now. I am trying my hardest to keep Bentley quiet, but you know how successful I was at that...c'mon he is 1. haha I played with him a bit and then put him down for his nap at 9. I was still tired so I went back to bed for an hour and then woke up and made Nick and I bluberry muffins. yum! Meanwhile I am also changing and folding laundry...I finally had a moment to jump in the shower just in time for a work meeting at 11:45. O ya and Bentley woke up at 11 so I had him banging on the shower door etc etc. While I am getting ready in a huge rush for this meeting, Bentley is unloading all my drawers in my bathroom. Throwing everything amongst in the bathroom and bathtub. I think to myself..gosh you need to clean this all up Abby, but I did not have time. So I left Bent with his dad while I rushed off to work. Bentely was crying the whole time!! I came home from my meeting and made a huge grocery list, got bentley in the car and Nick came along and we were off to the grocery store. It took us an hour and a half at the store and $220 later. Bentley was starving and screamed all through the check out stand while I am trying to feed him Mac and Cheese. We load up in the truck and we were off to JJ Door shop to pick up our doors for our house. Bentley did fall asleep on our way home! We got home I cleaned out the fridge and pantry then unloaded tons of groceries while I made Nick lunch at 4 lol before he had to be to work. By this time my kitchen was a disaster, still laundry to fold etc etc. Nick leaves and now I dig in to the mess.

I get a call from two different friends that need me to take there kids to soccer practice for them while they go to other obligations. Of course I said yes because I love to serve and Bentley loves being outside. Meanwhile I was thinking how I was going to make it to the Block Party, make dinner etc. I bundle Bentley up because its like blowing 50 mph I swear...we head to pick up the 3 kids and go to the park. Practice went great and then we were all off to the party where I would drop 2 kids off and meet up with the other boys mom. It was blowing so hard that Bentley was of course miserable. blah blah blah the worst is yet to come

I am driving home and realize I still have one of the girls car seats in my car along with a lot of other belongings so I call to tell my friend to swing by the house to pick it all up. Bentley screamed the whole way home because he was way passed tired. It is almost 8 now.

I get home make dinner for Bentley and the door bell rings. Its Eve and her husband. They are so cute and hilarious. They were bringing me cookies in exchange for some interesting facts for our game that we are in at the chili cook off on sat night. I was so not prepared I sat there and tried to think of two interesting things about Nick and I. Bentley is still crying a lil bit because I hadn't fed him yet. They visit for a while and then go.

I promised Nick his Curry for dinner so I was madly trying to cut up carrots, onions, potatoes etc etc. While feeding Bentley. The door bell rings again. It was Stac. She came in and helped me with Bentley so I could finish making rice and dinner for Nick. She was such a life saver.

Finally, I had Nick on his way home for dinner and Bentley fed. I stopped almost out of breath and took a look a round and realized my kitchen was still a disaster the bathroom was torn apart and the laundry needed to be changed. ahhhhhhhhh Stac left and Nick came in. We ate it was great and then he left.

I cleaned kitchen, changed laundry and cleaned up bathroom. I then put Bentley in the bath its 9 pm now. I never put Bentley to bed after 8 so he was so mad. We bathed, then read stories and he was off to sleep.

I am so exhausted at this point! I texted my friend and she was in bed reading I was so jealous. I hurry and finished picking up and then hopped in bed to read! My day was so hectic. Sorry this is so long, but I needed to write about it lol Hope tomorrow is a better day! O and somewhere in there I managed to make my Halloween card and take pics of Bentley in his Halloween outfit. Crazy Crazy Crazy day.

 

And Finally.....Baby number two is on the way! We are so excited about our new baby on the way! I told Nick like 6 weeks ago by tying balloons to Bentley's high chair and putting a sign around him that said "I'm going to be a big brother." Nick came walking in from work and was somewhat surprised. ha ha He said that he knew the whole time lol. Needless to say we kept it a secret from almost everyone until Bentley's first Birthday. At his party we wrapped up the first ultrasound in a small box and had Bentley open it very last. As we were unwrapping it I was telling him that mommy and daddy had a big surprise for him. Leaving it at that we unwrapped it and held the ultrasound up and everyone was shocked. We are due May 1st and are so excited. Kind of hoping for a girl, but either will be great! For those who are wondering and have been asking...I haven't been feeling that great, but I think I am on the mend. Thanks for all your concern!

 

Also amongst not feeling well, taking care of Bent, being out of town for a week and a half and much more I was able to finally get out my fall and Halloween decor! I love to decorate its so much fun to see what I can put together. Here are some pics of what I have done so far. I am still working on my Halloween cards so you'll be getting one before to long. Lets see what everyone else has done!!!

 

I was also able to take Bentley to the new Washington Swimming pool with Heidi, Kim C, Kim R and Jessica Richards and there kids. We had a blast, but didn't take to many pics. It was hard to take a ton cuz I was mostly wet with Bentley. Also the pic in the middle is for my mom. She gave Bentley this Tonka walker and he LOVES it.

 

After our visit to Salt Lake we traveled down to St. George where we were able to celebrate Bentley's first birthday! We had a BBQ and pool party at Nick's mom's home. (Thanks again Cindy) Bentley loved every minute of it he swam with his Grandpa's then ate dinner. After Dinner we attempted the CAKE. I wasn't sure how we would react, but my guess was right. He put one hand in it then was done. I'm glad that I didn't spend hours making a wonderful cake..I bought a cheap one at the grocery store. Then we opened presents. Bentley was so greatful for all the gifts that he recieved. A big thanks to all that came and celebrated with us! Also we told our surprise at the end. I'll explain in a later post.

Our Stay at Bryson & Kristen's

 

We were so lucky to be able to spend a few days up in Salt Lake with Bryson and Kristen and there new baby Addison. She is such a doll. While we were there we ate at some good restaurants, shopped and slept. The boys went shooting and looking at cars. Grandma Westbrook was so good to help me with Bentley and give him a bath! He loves his bath time. Also Nick's grandparents came to visit and brought us peaches :) Thanks Bryson and Kristen for letting us stay with you your daughter is beautiful!

Bentley is turning 1!!!

I just wanted to put his little birthday invite on here because we are going to be celebrating Bentley's first birthday. I can't believe that a year has come and gone. We are so blessed to have such a healthy little boy that brings so much joy to our lives.

Some of the things that Bentley is currently doing:
*Clap Clap Clapping his hands! He does this on que you will ask him and then he gets this big grin (like he is so proud he can do something we ask) and then starts clapping away.
*Waving bye bye or hello. He does this as well when you say Bentley say Bye then he does its the cutest thing ever.
*When I go to put his shoes and socks on he will put his right foot up then his left so that I can put them on.
*He gives High Fives too!
*Cries when we leave the room.
*Eats so much food! I can't believe what my lil chunk can put away. He eats everything and anything.
*He has become attached to his blue Meinky (spell check please) blanket.
*He will stand up not holding onto things, but won't walk yet.
*He grinds the teeth that he does have. I drives Nick and I nuts.
*He is sleeping for 12 hours straight! Seriously from 8-8. THis might be normal for kids, but its a new thing for Bentley and we love it!
*He also is taking 2 great naps. (so is mom)
*He loves his bath time. He kicks so hard that water goes everywhere.
*Loves to talk on the phone to his Daddy. (consists of daddy talking Bentley just jabberinng).

He is advancing so well it seems. Everyday he turns over a new leaf. We are so greatful for him.
