Christmas 2008

Wow what a wonderful Christmas holiday! We were able to have all ten of my immediate family members come stay for almost a week at my house! It was so much fun we played games, cards, rock band, catch phrase and the paper bag game. Thanks to Nick's friend allowing us to borrow there toy hauler for some of my family to sleep in!! We created some wonderful memories and laughed so much. We were way spoiled this year by everyone! We really focused though on the the real meaning behind Christmas. On Christmas Eve we ate appetizers and read the Polar Express and talked about believing! I gave each person a bell to help them remember to believe in the spirit of Christmas. We then read the the story about Christs birth from the scriptures. It was great to have family discussion as well. Then we opened our jammies and were off to sleep.

Christmas morning was great we all took turns opening the gifts we had. Bentley was not sure about opening them, but with a little help he did it. After we looked in our stockings to see what was inside. I had asked everyone before they came to put something in each person's stocking that resembled the true meaning of Christmas. We all told why we chose what we did and why we thought it resembled Christs birth. My mom then read the Christmas story called..The wooden shoes...I think. It was amazing followed by her testimony. We then ate our famous Holdiay breakfast and started preparing for our Huge feast later in the day.

All in all I felt the spirit on Christmas and created so many fond memories. My family stayed until Saturday and then we were excited to have Nick's family come on Sunday. We had a second Christmas on Monday morning with Nick's family. We have had so much fun with them this week while they have been here. I will post more of what we did later! Thanks everyone for coming and making it so memorable! We love you all :)
